ARMStaffing is looking for a Radiation Therapist (Day Shift) in Petoskey, Michigan.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. There is potential for 4/10 hour shifts.

Job Description

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care through radiation therapy treatments. This includes performing treatment simulations, fabricating necessary shielding blocks, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR). The therapist will prepare equipment for patient treatments, performing quality control and assurance tests, ensuring proper infection control techniques, and adhering to optimal radiation safety and protection practices. All activities will reflect the philosophy, goals, objectives, and standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatment simulations and fabricate shielding blocks.
• Prepare equipment for patient treatments and conduct quality control tests.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Ensure proper infection control techniques and radiation safety practices.
• Maintain professional working relationships with medical staff.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of radiation therapist experience.
• 1 year of travel experience or work experience post-graduation with Varian and ARIA.

Certifications/Licensure

• ARRT (T) certification is required.
• BLS certification (AHA) is also required.
