This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires working a 10-hour evening shift from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM. There is a weekend call coverage requirement of one weekend per contract, and workers should expect to work some holidays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This role involves monitoring patient vitals, managing pain control, and ensuring a safe and smooth recovery process. The Registered Nurse will utilize paper charting and maintain accurate patient records throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery status.
• Administer medications and manage pain control as prescribed.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients post-surgery.
• Document all patient care information accurately using paper charting.
• Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.

Required Experience

• Active NJ License or Compact license in hand at submission.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

• Registered Nurse License (NJ or Compact)

• BLS Certification
