Rotating shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights), weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback responsibilities per unit needs.

Job Description

The Gosnell Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the only one of its kind in the Finger Lakes Region, recognized nationally for providing the highest level of care for sick or premature newborns as a Level IV center. This includes advanced treatments for respiratory failure and heart disease.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for newborns in a high-acuity environment.
• Monitor vital signs and provide necessary interventions based on clinical assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record system.

Required Experience

• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Telemetry experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) License in New York.
• NRP 8th edition Certification required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
