Job Description
The Emergency Department in Nashua offers a fast-paced environment with 10 procedure rooms and 1 trauma room dedicated to providing high-quality care. The patient population includes those with multiple comorbidities, complex heart conditions, DKA, sepsis, trauma, and stroke cases. The unit utilizes advanced equipment such as ultrasound, IV skills, Lucas devices, rapid infusers, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis for medication management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency care in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols.
- Perform initial workups, including labs, EKGs, medications, and POC lab testing.
- Collaborate with providers for medical screening exams within 10 minutes of patient arrival.
- Manage a patient ratio of 5:1, with flexibility during trauma situations.
- Engage in continuous learning and adapt to evolving protocols and practices.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of emergency department experience for contract labor roles.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, and TNCC certifications are required for contract labor positions.
- RN licensure in the state of New Hampshire.
