Night Shift, 19:00 - 07:00, 36 hours per week, with weekend hours required every 6 weeks.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in a specialized unit focusing on Neuro, Ortho, and Pediatrics. The department consists of 24 beds, with a patient ratio of 1:6. The RN will utilize the electronic health record system, transitioning from Paragon to Cerner in March 2024. This position involves working with a diverse patient population, covering all ages from 28 days onwards, primarily dealing with trauma and post-operative care in ortho and neuro.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro/Ortho/Peds unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Document patient progress and care in the health records system.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, with at least 2 years in adult and pediatric care. Floating to other inpatient units may be required.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
