Schedule/Shift

This position requires night shifts, roughly three 12-hour shifts per week, typically from 19:30 to 08:00. Weekend shifts are required, likely every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the NICU will provide essential nursing care to neonatal patients in a critical-care setting. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, medication administration, documentation, and patient/family education. The role requires interaction with high-acuity neonatal patients and their families, requiring strong critical-thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to neonatal patients in a critical-care setting.
• Complete comprehensive assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
• Perform procedures such as IV starts, suctioning, and specimen collection.
• Respond to medical equipment and update patient care as needed.

Required Experience

• 2+ years of experience in NICU or pediatric critical care nursing.
• Active Florida RN license or active multistate eNLC license required.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• NRP certification required within the facility's timeline.
