Schedule/Shift

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week, with weekend hours required every other or every third weekend.

Job Description

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) of Wilson Medical Center. The facility has a capacity of 294 beds and is Joint Commission accredited. The patient population primarily consists of adults with conditions such as COPD, ARF, DKA, Sepsis, and Shock. The unit is equipped with advanced technology including cardiac monitors and bedside dialysis capabilities, utilizing Meditech as the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU and IMU settings.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, performing EKG interpretations and critical thinking for drip titration, including vasopressors and sedation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Utilize cardiac monitoring and other medical equipment effectively.

Required Experience

Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit or similar environment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
