Night shift, 3 shifts weekly.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory support and assisting with patient transport according to medical prescriptions. This position requires evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients on procedures, equipment, and medication upon discharge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using various equipment, including ventilatory, oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer devices.
• Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance and utilize suctioning methods as required.
• Monitor oximetry and capnography, perform pulmonary function studies, and assist with various procedures related to respiratory care.
• Manage tracheostomy care and perform arterial punctures as per policy.
• Document all treatments administered and communicate with attending physicians regarding patient responses.

Required Experience

Experience in a clinical respiratory care setting is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

Current Respiratory Therapy licensure and certifications such as BLS and ACLS are required.
