Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse plays a crucial role in the care delivery team, responsible for maintaining high standards and quality of nursing care. This position involves managing patient care activities using independent judgment and collaboration with other healthcare team members, ensuring a healing environment by incorporating evidence-based practices and relationship-based care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a group of patients and their families.
• Actively participate in quality improvement efforts and feedback processes within the department.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practice to influence patient plans of care.
• Formulate care plans incorporating patient involvement and individual needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and document care accurately.
• Teach patients, families, and new staff utilizing adult learning principles.
• Build strong relationships with patients, their families, and colleagues to enhance care experiences.
• Respond to team member needs and adapt to changes in the work environment.

Required Experience

2 years of nursing experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Compliance with PA Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73.
