This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

D/N rotating shift: 7pm-7:30am/7am-7:30pm. Shifts may be variable based on the operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Stepdown Unit will provide exceptional care for patients transitioning from higher levels of care. This position may require floating to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department (ED). The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and manage ongoing patient assessments.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain clear and accurate patient documentation.
• Participate in patient and family education efforts.
• Adhere to unit policies and protocols.

Required Experience

Must have at least 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must have a Permanent Ohio RN License or Compact License in hand.
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
