Schedule/Shift
This position requires night shifts, working 3x12 hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotations to cover weekends (at least 8 per contract) and holidays as needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide care to a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Responsibilities include blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation administration. The position also requires the care of ventilated patients and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs). Knowledge of triage processes within a combination adult/pediatric emergency department is essential.
Responsibilities
- Administer blood products and manage central lines.
- Perform phlebotomy and start IVs.
- Provide continuous IV sedation and administer procedural sedation.
- Care for ventilated patients and interpret arterial blood gases.
- Participate in triage processes and manage a patient ratio of 1:5.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency department setting.
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are required.
- Active RN license is mandatory at the time of submission.
