Schedule/Shift

4x10 hour shifts from 06:30 to 17:00, rotating days as needed Monday through Friday. On-call required up to 13 weekdays and 3 weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing various interventional procedures. This includes using advanced medical equipment and documentation systems such as GE Innova IGS, Phillips, GE MacLab, and EPIC. The unit encompasses 2 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid OR, serving patients undergoing procedures like IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave, Structural interventions, PFO, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients undergoing catheterization and other interventional procedures.
• Perform scrubbing duties during procedures and collaborate with the interventional team.
• Administer medications and utilize monitoring equipment effectively.
• Maintain sterilization and infection control procedures according to established protocols.
• Prepare patients for interventional procedures and provide education regarding care plans.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with recent experience in Cath Lab/Interventional scrubbing.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license in Maryland or a compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
