Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide care in a trauma, stroke, and chest pain setting. This unit features 10 rooms with a total of 19 beds/chairs, maintaining a patient ratio of 4:1. The documentation system used is MEDHOST, and the scrub color required is royal blue.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress and changes in condition.
Required Experience
Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an Emergency Department setting, with trauma, stroke, and chest pain experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse licensure.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (AHA or ARC).
