ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Endoscopy (4x9s with Call) in Geneva, New York.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

4x9s per week with weekend call rotation, including two full weekends of call and one weekday per week. Response time for call is one hour.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse applies nursing theory, technical, and communication skills to deliver compassionate care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing a collaborative care plan with the interdisciplinary team, providing direct care, and evaluating patient progress. The Endo RN specializes in caring for adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with various medical conditions, focusing on education and support for self-care post-hospitalization.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and observation.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient progress and needs.
• Provide emotional support and promote patient safety and rights.
• Educate patients and families on care requirements and lifestyle changes.
• Document education provided and patient/family responses.
• Engage in self-evaluation and professional development for skills enhancement.

Required Experience

• One (1) year of experience in an endoscopy environment as a Registered Nurse.

Certifications/Licensure

• New York State Registered Nurse Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required.
