ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Day Shift) in Roswell, New Mexico.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Day shift, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend and holiday rotations required. Floating to Stepdown and Medical-Surgical departments is also necessary, and call may be required.

Job Description

The role involves providing care in a mix of ICU and Stepdown settings, with some Medical-Surgical overflow. The unit consists of 16 beds, and the patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:2 in ICU and 1:3-4 in Stepdown. The nurse will utilize Cerner for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU and Stepdown units.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an ICU setting.
• Experience floating to Stepdown and Medical-Surgical departments.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications are required.
• Valid RN license for the state of New Mexico.
