Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist, following departmental protocols. This position focuses on routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including CT of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, and conducting biopsy/drainage procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures coherently.
• Administer contrast media as required for various studies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the processing of CT systems.
• Conduct surgical/sterile procedures as necessary.
• Exhibit knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy pertinent to the role.
• Provide support in the Emergency Department (ED) and float as needed throughout the facility.
• Ability to initiate IVs for patients when required.

Required Experience

• AZ License and CT License required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current ARRT registration.
• State licensure as a general radiographer.
