10-hour Day Shift, 4 days per week.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will assist the surgical team by performing a variety of tasks in the operating room. Responsibilities include arranging sterile setups for procedures, passing instruments and supplies during surgery, and assisting in the preparation and care for surgical specimens.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Assist in patient preparation for surgery, ensuring aseptic incision sites.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with the cleanup of the operating room and restock supplies as necessary.
• Ensure proper operation of surgical equipment and assist in the safe handling of medications.
• Help transport patients to recovery post-surgery.

Required Experience

2 years of experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TSC)
• Compliance with PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73
