ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Frederick, Maryland.

Schedule/Shift

Schedule: 3x12s, Rotating weekends and holidays, with block scheduling not available. Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

The 4G/Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry specializes in the care of adult and geriatric patients who require cardiac monitoring and a higher level of observation than a Medical-Surgical unit but do not require intensive care. Common patient populations include congestive heart failure (CHF), NSTEMI, pre-cardiac catheterization patients, stroke, pulmonary disorders, diabetes, multi-system disease, and post-surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a Progressive Care Unit and Telemetry.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, ensuring timely intervention when necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Manage and monitor telemetry for patients to detect arrhythmias and other cardiac issues.

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience.
• Previous Charge experience preferred.
• Community hospital experience required, LTAC experience preferred.
• Travel experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• MD or compact license must be in hand at the time of submission—no exceptions.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Preferred: PCCN, CMSRN certifications.
