Job Description

Join the dynamic team at Level 2 South/Level 2 Central, a 60-bed Medical Surgical Unit that provides care for a diverse range of patient populations, including post-surgical cases, various medical conditions, traumas, strokes, and inpatient hospice. This fast-paced unit offers abundant learning opportunities and a chance to enhance your clinical skills while focusing on patient-centered, safe, and quality care for optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to create and implement individualized care plans based on comprehensive patient assessments.
• Utilize the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and Caring-Quality Model to address both medical and holistic care needs.
• Engage in effective communication with team members and utilize SBAR for clarity in patient care discussions.
• Demonstrate leadership through knowledge sharing and serving as a clinical resource and professional role model.
• Manage time effectively and assist colleagues to improve overall team performance.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in straight Medical Surgical nursing.
• Experience in a Level II or I Trauma unit is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Michigan RN license required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
