Schedule/Shift
This position requires working 3 × 12 hour shifts per week on the Night Shift (19:00 – 07:30), with at least 1-2 weekends per month. There are no holiday shifts required.
Job Description
The Temple Women's and Families Maternity Unit is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth experience. The unit focuses on high-quality antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care, while ensuring patient safety and promoting positive birth experiences. The multidisciplinary care team collaborates to meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of every family.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized postpartum care and support for mothers and newborns.
- Perform antepartum monitoring and care as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and safety.
- Educate families on newborn care and maternal health.
- Float as needed to Labor & Delivery and NICU units.
Required Experience
At least 1 year of experience in a maternity unit or similar setting is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license.
- BLS certification.
- NRP certification preferred.
- Fetal monitoring experience is required (certificate not needed).
