ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Day Shift) in Jackson, Mississippi.

12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit provides care to a variety of patient populations in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and utilizing the EPIC charting system for documentation. The RN will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Medical-Surgical environment for diverse patient populations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patients' vital signs and behaviors.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist with patient education regarding health conditions and home care.
• Float between all Med-Surg units as required, maintaining high standards of care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience.
• At least 6 months of recent Level 1 trauma experience or experience in a facility with 400+ beds and high acuity patients.
• Comfortable with lines and chest tubes.
• Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of Mississippi.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred for charge RN roles.
