This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Afternoon shift from 12 PM to 10 PM, working four 10-hour shifts per week. No weekends are required.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will work within the Operating Room, assisting the surgical team in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing procedures. The facility has multiple surgical suites and supports a diverse range of cases, including orthopedic, general, colorectal, GYN, neuro, ENT, vascular, thoracic, and podiatry surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room for surgery.
• Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Monitor the patient’s condition during surgery, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective operation flow.
• Participate in the decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Document procedures and patient care accurately within the electronic medical record system.

Required Experience

Prior experience in an operating room setting is preferred. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is not required but is highly regarded.

Certifications/Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
