ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Psychiatric (Night Shift) in Rutland, Vermont.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position offers a 36-hour work week on a 12-hour night shift, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Schedule requests are approved at the manager's discretion.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Psychiatric unit, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and effective care to patients with mental health needs. This position encompasses patient assessment, intervention, treatment planning, and coordination of care in a supportive environment. Experience with Cerner EMR technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and manage crisis situations effectively.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses and progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Nationally recognized de-escalation certification must be obtained prior to start.
