Schedule/Shift

Night Shift: 3x12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The CVICU in Tulsa is a dynamic environment that provides care for cardiac surgical and medical patients, with the potential to encounter adult medical ICU overflow. The nursing staff is expected to manage a patient ratio of 2:1, facilitating optimal care for critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for critically ill patients in the CVICU.
• Administer and monitor medications, including IV drips and blood products.
• Perform assessments and develop nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Assist in the management of ventilated patients and the care of those undergoing procedures.
• Document patient care activities comprehensively using the Community Hospital charting system.
• Provide assistance with various procedures, such as chest tube insertion/removal and arterial line management.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a critical care setting is required.
• Charge experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Valid RN license in Oklahoma or compact state required at the time of submission.
