ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Pre/Post Day Surgery (Day/Evening Shift) in Morgantown, West Virginia.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3-12 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, Day/Evening. Schedules include 2 Fridays and 2 Mondays per 4-week period. There is a 12-hour call requirement.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Pre/Post Day Surgery unit will provide care in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery areas. This role involves monitoring patients post-anesthesia, providing essential support for a variety of cases including Ortho, ENT, Ophthalmology, GYN, Urology, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, and Podiatry. The unit has a total of 70 beds and aims to ensure a safe and comfortable recovery for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care to patients.
• Monitor patient vitals and assess recovery progress.
• Administer medication as necessary and in accordance with protocols.
• Document patient information and recovery progress in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality patient care.

Required Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA certified
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA certified
