Schedule/Shift

12-hour Night Shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Every third weekend, no call.

Job Description

The Progressive Care unit at Catholic Medical Center specializes in the care of patients primarily undergoing Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular surgical procedures, with occasional medical progressive care patients. The unit features 10 beds and a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality care using advanced medical technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients, primarily in cardiac and vascular recovery.
• Use telemetry monitors, IV pumps, and other high-tech equipment.
• Administer medications and cardiac drips like dobutamine, dopamine, and Levo as needed.
• Conduct procedures such as chest tube insertions and thoracentesis.
• Support patient mobility using hoyer or stand lifts.
• Document patient information in the EMR, primarily using Sunrise.

Required Experience

• Current New Hampshire RN license.
• Experience with telemetry and chest tube management.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
