Day shift from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with floating required.
Job Description
This position involves providing comprehensive care for ICU patients, including the management of ventilators and titratable intravenous drips. Nurses are also responsible for patient hygiene and must be comfortable floating to the Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) departments as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver total care for ICU patients, ensuring their medical needs are met with attention to detail.
- Administer medications and handle titratable drips as per patient requirements.
- Assist in the operation of ventilators and monitor patients' respiratory status.
- Provide hygiene care and support overall patient comfort.
- Float to ER for support roles, including answering call lights, passing medications, transportation, and performing basic nursing tasks when requested.
- Take full patient assignments when floating to Med Surg, managing up to 6 patients or supporting an aide role for 12 patients.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
- Experience with ventilators and managing titratable drips.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Certifications/Licensure
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Preferred TNCC certification.
