7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A with rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry Unit will provide high-quality patient-focused care in a progressive care environment. This unit is designed to meet the needs of patients requiring intermediate care, and the RN will engage in telemetry monitoring and nursing management of a variety of medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitor patients' vital signs and telemetry.
• Implement and coordinate patient care plans through evaluation and adjustment based on patient status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Document all patient-related activities accurately in the Meditech documentation system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding health conditions and post-care procedures.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience is required.
• Prior telemetry experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted).
• American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certification required.
