Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing exceptional care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care while maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care based on the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and anticipatory skills in patient care planning.
• Delegate priorities and supervise the healthcare team delivering patient care.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and state regulations.
• Engage in continuing education to enhance clinical competencies.

Required Experience

• Demonstrated experience in an LTAC, telemetry, or critical care setting.
• Specific experience with ventilated patients, tracheostomy care, and central lines.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Florida RN license or multi-state compact RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association).
