General work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will collaborate as part of a team to provide physical therapy services under the guidance and supervision of a physical therapist. The PTA will implement selected patient interventions, gather relevant data, and make necessary adjustments to ensure patient safety and comfort. Care will be delivered to patients of all ages with limitations affecting their mobility and daily functional activities in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physical therapist in implementing treatment plans according to patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions as necessary, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding treatment goals and progress.
• Document patient care activities and progress in accordance with facility policies.

Required Experience

A minimum of two (2) years of experience, primarily in outpatient settings, is preferred. Inpatient experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current credentialing by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical Therapy Board.
• Verification card of current instruction in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
