Job Description
This six-bed MOSU provides comprehensive nursing care for a variety of post-surgical patients, including those recovering from cardiac catheterizations, post-PCI, respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, AKI, and unstable arrhythmias. As an RN in this setting, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-acuity patient care within the critical and step-down environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage hemodynamics and telemetry, providing timely interventions as needed.
- Initiate, titrate, and manage medications including vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedation.
- Oversee ventilator management and respiratory support, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula.
- Administer blood products and manage central and arterial lines.
- Conduct sepsis management protocols and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Float to Med/Surg, Tele, Step-Down, and Observation floors as necessary to meet patient care demands.
Required Experience
- Experience in critical care nursing is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license in the state of Arizona.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
