Job Description

The Laboratory Technologist (MLT or MT) works under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager to perform laboratory tests and accurately report findings to physicians for diagnosing, treating, and monitoring diseases. Responsibilities include aiding in the laboratory's general operations, participating in quality assurance programs, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and accurately report results.
• Assist in laboratory operations and quality assurance programs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Exercise independent judgment and professionalism in all tasks.

Required Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or a related area of specialty.
• National certification (AMT or ASCP) is required.
• Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Certification/registration or registration eligible as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician.
