This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires an evening shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, with on-call responsibilities for two weeknights and some weekends.

Job Description

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform general diagnostic ultrasound imaging, including abdominal imaging, biophysical profiles for obstetrics, and thyroid assessments. The position is within a community hospital setting that offers a comfortable work environment and a tight-knit team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Provide accurate and timely ultrasound images for diagnostic purposes.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment effectively.
• Document patient information and ultrasound findings in the EHR system (Meditech).

Required Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a staff sonographer specializing in general diagnostic ultrasound.

Certifications/Licensure

• Required: ARDMS certification in Abdomen (ABD).
• Preferred: Additional certifications in OB/GYN and RVT.
