Schedule/Shift
This position requires a 4x10 hour schedule, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Call coverage is required as needed, with floating responsibilities in case of a COVID surge.
Job Description
The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for performing various invasive catheterization procedures for adult and geriatric patients, including balloon angioplasty, PCI, stenting, thrombectomy, Impella insertion, and both left and right heart catheterizations. Responsibilities also include hemodynamic monitoring using EPIC systems. The position involves maintaining sterile fields and preparing access sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform invasive cardiac procedures such as catheterizations and interventions.
- Monitor hemodynamic parameters and perform EKGs.
- Assist in various cardiac interventions and adjunct therapies.
- Maintain patient safety and sterile techniques during procedures.
- Document procedures accurately in EPIC.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab environment.
- Travel experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
- RCIS or RCES certification is strongly preferred but not required.
