ARMStaffing is looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Med Surg (Night Shift) in El Paso, Texas.

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, no call.

Job Description

The Med Surg unit, located on the 5th floor, consists of 30 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. The unit focuses on providing comprehensive care for patients with various medical conditions. The team is equipped with feeding pumps, IV pumps, lift equipment, Wound VACs, PCAs, and oxygen, and utilizes the Meditech electronic medical records system.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as per prescribed protocols.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to the nursing team.
• Provide patient education and support.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with current Texas licensure.
• Experience in a Med Surg setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Critical thinking skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current LVN licensure in Texas.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred: ACLS certification, IV skills, experience in orthopedic and kidney transplant care, and central line and Foley management.
