Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; weekly guaranteed hours of 36 with rotating weekend hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at Harris Regional Hospital provides care for adult and neonatal patients. This role requires competency in reading fetal heart rate tracings and knowledge of labor medications and processes. Responsibilities include cervical exams and ensuring a world-class patient experience, where quality clinical care and patient satisfaction are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess fetal heart rates and maternal vitals.
• Administer medications related to labor management.
• Conduct cervical examinations to assess labor progress.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide support and education to expectant mothers and families.

Required Experience

1-2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Fetal monitoring certification.
