Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to individual needs and goals while ensuring adherence to physician direction. The role includes designing functional treatment programs to facilitate effective community reintegration and fostering a supportive learning environment for patients, families, students, and colleagues. The therapist will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with organizational standards and demonstrating behaviors consistent with the organization's mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to create and adapt treatment plans and goals, focusing on timely patient progression towards discharge.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation, including goal writing and functional assessments.
• Ensure care is rendered under valid physician orders and within insurance guidelines.
• Actively participate in the training and oversight of students.
• Engage in professional development through continued education and activities aligned with organizational objectives.
• Adhere to discipline-specific practice acts and maintain professional licensure.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
