Schedule/Shift

This position requires an 8-hour Day Shift, Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 16:00, with variable hours as needed to accommodate patient schedules.

Job Description

The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality radiation treatment to patients in the Radiation Oncology unit. The ideal candidate must be experienced in using Varian 2300ix and Varian EDGE Truebeam technologies and must possess knowledge of Siemens CT large bore for simulation. Additionally, familiarity with Electronic Medical Records, specifically ARIA and EPIC, is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with prescribed protocols.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems.
• Conduct patient assessments and simulations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Monitor patients during treatments, managing any side effects or complications.

Required Experience

• Current New York state licensure as a Radiation Therapist.
• Experience with Varian 2300ix and Varian EDGE Truebeam systems.
• Familiarity with Siemens CT large bore for simulation processes.

Certifications/Licensure

• New York State License for Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (preferred).
