Job Description
The A3 West Med Surg Tele unit comprises 38 beds and caters to a diverse patient population requiring telemetry monitoring. Nurses on this unit play a critical role in patient care, utilizing Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, and SCDs, and document patient data using Cerner Powerchart. The environment emphasizes teamwork, support, and a positive attitude as nurses assist one another and engage in various medical/surgical nursing responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct peripheral IV starts and dressing changes.
- Deliver care to patients on telemetry monitoring.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team and support unit operations.
Required Experience
- Medical/surgical nursing experience is mandatory.
- Experience in telemetry nursing is required.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification is required.
