Job Description
The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. Candidates must be competent in the care of both medical and surgical populations and be able to handle advanced hemodynamics, including pressor usage according to our titration protocols.
Responsibilities
- Administer antihypertensive, sedative, and narcan drips as well as thrombo-embolytics.
- Utilize a line, CVP, and EVD as part of patient care.
- Implement infection prevention protocols.
- Manage patients on HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and oxypendent.
- Monitor and adjust care for high acuity patients as necessary.
Required Experience
Candidates must possess large-scale adult PCU experience and community hospital ICU experience.
Certifications/Licensure
ACLS certification is required.
