Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Adolescent Mood Disorders Unit will provide care and support to a diverse patient population including adolescents and pediatrics with various mental health diagnoses. The role involves delivering professional nursing care, conducting assessments, and implementing treatment plans while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. RNs may be expected to float to different patient age groups and work as a charge nurse during shifts without additional compensation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor and document patient progress and behaviors.
• Participate in developing and revising patient care plans.
• Provide emotional support and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members for patient management.
• Ensure compliance with safety and care standards.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health.
• Previous charge experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification preferred.
