Job Description

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport within the facility as medically prescribed, with minimal supervision. You will evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans while explaining procedures and educating patients upon discharge.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-prescribed treatments using ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning as needed.
• Conduct oximetry and capnography monitoring, and review chest x-rays for further evaluation.
• Assist with procedures related to respiratory care, including bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.
• Perform arterial punctures and assess ventilation efficiency through monitoring and reporting test results.
• Maintain accurate respiratory therapy documentation and participate in shift to shift communication.
• Ensure the operation and maintenance of all ventilatory equipment.

Required Experience

Experience in a respiratory therapy role within a clinical setting is required.

Certifications / Licensure

A valid Respiratory Therapist license is required.
