This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

3 x 12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, every other weekend required with one holiday requirement. No on-call requirement, but floating may be required when needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Duties include planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs, developing individualized care plans, performing therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, and advocating for evidence-based practice care standards. Additionally, the RN will provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models and any other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care.
• Identify patient needs and determine priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
• Document care based on standards of care and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice.

Required Experience

Experience in hospice care and taking care of hospice patients is required.

Certifications / Licensure

• RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
