Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift

This position involves a 4-day shift working from 7 AM to 5 PM, totaling 9.5 hours per day. There is a ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) on-call requirement of 10 to 12 shifts per month, including 1 to 2 weekends from Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM, which are counted in the total shifts.

Job Description

The role involves delivering competent patient care across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics. The candidate will perform systematic and comprehensive patient assessments, provide direct nursing care, and document patients' progress accurately. The position also emphasizes the importance of professionalism, patient satisfaction, safety protocols, and adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals.

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients.
• Provide competent nursing skills including emergency equipment usage.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation in patient charts.
• Promote a professional environment focused on patient and family satisfaction.
• Follow safety protocols using two patient identifiers for verification.
• Individualize patient care according to specific procedures and anesthesia types.
• Assume responsibility for patient care priorities based on their needs.
• Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures and assessments.
• Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate pre-admission testing orders.

Required Experience

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills relevant to the nursing field and have experience in a perioperative setting.

Certifications / Licensure

A valid RN license is required.
