Job Description

The Fetal Echo Sonographer will utilize high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for fetal echocardiography. This role requires specialized technical skills to produce and evaluate ultrasound images that are essential for medical diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Perform fetal echocardiograms, obtaining and reviewing relevant patient history and clinical data.
• Provide interpreting physicians with an oral summary of diagnostic results.
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures.
• Differentiate artifacts from normal or pathological processes and recognize limitations of exams.
• Utilize 2D optimization and 3D manipulation techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic information.
• Analyze data and provide preliminary written reports for final interpretation.
• Collaborate with team members and assist in teaching new staff and residents.

Required Experience

• ARDMS Pediatric (PE) and Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in fetal echocardiography is preferred.

Certifications / Licensure

• ARDMS certification in fetal echocardiography (RDCS-FE) is required.
