Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and an essential member of the care delivery team, responsible for setting standards for the level and quality of nursing care. This role includes managing patient care activities, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring patient outcomes meet established standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
• Actively participate in department-specific quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Utilize research and evidence-based practice to enhance clinical care.
• Apply the nursing process within the framework of Relationship Based Care to develop holistic care plans.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and articulate patient conditions to care providers.
• Build caring relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to create a compassionate care environment.
• Engage as a partner on the care team and adapt to changes in the professional practice environment.
• Teach patients and families effectively to enhance their understanding and transition through care.
• Foster an environment of open dialogue and continuous improvement by encouraging feedback.

Required Experience

2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
