Job Description

Looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide independent and skilled respiratory care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric in a critical access hospital setting. The therapist will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment for diagnosing and treating respiratory diseases and illnesses under the supervision of the Technical Director of Respiratory Therapy. Responsibilities will include performing invasive and non-invasive ventilation, drawing ABGs, airway management, assisting with intubations, and possibly conducting pulmonary function tests (PFTs).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment.
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and airway management.
• Assist with intubations as needed.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests (PFTs) if applicable.

Required Experience

• 2+ years of current Registered Respiratory Therapy experience.
• At least 6 months previous travel experience (highly preferred).

Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Vermont RRT License.
