Job Description
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 year of experience in this specialty and meet specified certification requirements. RNs will be responsible for providing critical care in a fast-paced environment, managing a variety of patient needs across different acuity levels.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care to patients of all ages, including neonates, adolescents, and geriatrics.
- Assist with the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Administer blood products and manage central lines.
- Perform phlebotomy and start IVs as required.
- Monitor continuous IV sedations and paralytics in critical situations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
- Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and safety protocols.
Required Experience
A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required.
Certifications / Licensure
- Active NY RN license required.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
