Job Description

The Ultrasound technician will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic examinations in a variety of areas, including general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography. The position requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and includes opportunities for teaching and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations including thoracentesis, paracentesis, and fine needle aspirations.
• Conduct biopsies and drainage procedures such as liver and renal biopsies and abscess drainage.
• Assist in the operating room with breast needle placements and other procedures as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient exams and procedures.

Required Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in ultrasound.
• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting with exposure to a variety of ultrasound types.

Certifications / Licensure

• Current NH license.
• BLS certification.
• RDMS certification required, additional certifications like RVT or OB-GYN preferred.
