Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for confirming patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans while strictly adhering to department policies and procedures for patient safety. You will coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging, prepare patients for scans, and explain the procedures to ensure their comfort. Additional responsibilities include inserting IVs as necessary, positioning patients safely, and maintaining accurate patient records within EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and verify exams prior to scans.
• Coordinate with physicians for diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary.
• Position patients safely and utilize safe patient handling techniques.
• Document all necessary components in EPIC accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.

Required Experience

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• NYS licensure prior to starting the position.
• Two years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Certifications / Licensure

• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
• Injection certification preferred (must be willing to complete during orientation).
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
